This fantastic box arrived at the Polish Police headquarters.
And inside were these beauties – Zoya’s newest colors.
Zoya released three collections for Fall 2012 – Designer, Diva and Gloss. I couldn’t wait to show them all to you.
Let’s start with Designer.
Designer is a six-piece collection of beautiful cremes.
I swear, Evvie made me panic. At first glance, in the bottle, it looked super gray. So I started freaking out when I painted my nails and it looked green.
Then I realized, that duh, it is supposed to look green. And I heaved a huge sigh of relief.
Zoya describes Evvie as “a dark smoky grey creme with strong teal green undertones.”
This beautiful grayed out green creme was custom-mixed for designer Peter Som’s runway show.
It looks slightly more gray than these photos show. But on my skin tone it really pulls green.
The formula was thick but very easy to manage.
I used two coats.
This is Noot.
Zoya describes this as a “very dark grey creme with strong blue-green undertones.”
I love that this shade has a green tinge.
The green sets it apart from my numerous other dark grays.
I think it’s really pretty.
The formula is a bit thinner than Evvie’s but again, also very easy to manage.
Zero application problems.
I used two coats.
This is Natty.
Zoya describes it as a “smoky deep steel blue.”
The name makes me smile because it reminds me of Natty, my grandma’s hairdresser. And anything that has anything to do with my awesome grandma makes me happy.
I love blue polish and since I have so many of them, I feel that blues have to work extra hard to impress me.
And Natty did just that.
I love its smoky quality.
Natty’s formula is thin too.
But again, no application problems.
I used two coats.
This is Toni.
Zoya describes it as a “dark, warm raisin-wine cream with strong purple tones.”
People who like vampy shades will like this one.
It’s a dark and sexy shade.
This would make a great pedi color. (Actually all the shades in this collection would rock as pedi colors.)
Like most of the other shades in this collection, Toni’s formula is thin.
But again, the thinness causes no application problems.
I used two coats.
This is Monica.
I will admit – just the name is enough to make me love it. Throw any Friends reference my way and you’ll get a thumbs-up from me. You could have called this polish Gunther and I would have been a fan no matter what the color was.
But luckily, Monica is worthy of love.
Monica is a dark purple creme.
It’s gorgeous and glossy.
I love how dark and bright it is at the same time.
And I like how rich and intense it is.
Again, thin but good formula.
I used two coats.
And finally, Rekha.
Zoya describes Rekha as a “blood red creme.”
This sexy shade of red was made for Bibhu Mohapatra’s NYFW Fall 2012 show.
This red is super sexy.
I really like it.
The formula was also thin but problem-free.
It’s really glossy.
I used three coats.
I’ve always been a creme girl so these colors made me happy. I will show you the rest of Zoya’s collections very soon.
These colors are now available on the Zoya website.
