I play with glitter, holo, texture and all kinds of finish but cremes will always, always be my favorite. And these cremes from Zoya’s Summer 2013 collection can brighten anyone’s day.
Four out of the six shades from Zoya’s Stunning collection have hidden shimmer. Zoya Darcy, Micky, Yana and Thandie all have microshimmer that you can see in the bottle. But on the nails, they all look like cremes.
I love how these shades all look together – I can totally see myself wearing them as skittles.
This is Darcy.
The name reminds me of Darcy Rhone from Emily Giffin’s books.
Darcy is a sunny yellow creme.
It’s bright but not so bright that it’s neon.
Like with your usual yellow polish, careful application is a must. I needed to use three coats to even it out.
This is Josie.
Zoya describes this as a grassy green.
It’s a lovely green. It’s bright but it also has a hint of dustiness to it.
It’s the most unusual of the colors in this set.
The formula was nice and application easy. I used two coats.
This is Rocky.
It’s s subdued sky blue.
This shade is my favorite from the Stunning set.
Although it’s my favorite shade from this collection, the formula wasn’t the usual perfect Zoya creme that I’ve come to expect.
It streaked a little but evened out after three coats.
This is Zoya Micky.
Zoya describes this as “an amazing coral cream.”
But it’s more of a pretty medium pink to me.
This is one of the shades that had hidden shimmer.
The formula was nice. I used two coats.
This is Thandie.
Zoya describes this as “a citrus orange cream.”
But to me it also has an apricot feel to it.
It’s slightly less intense than these colors show.
Application was easy. I used two coats.
This is Yana.
It’s described as a “geranium pink cream.”
Yana is a bright reddish pink.
This one had hidden shimmer too but it’s not obvious on the nails.
Great formula. I used two coats.
Because I love looking at these six shades together, I decided to play with them using a dotting tool.
The result was this fun and easy mani.
Next time I think I’ll try it with Rocky as the base. With its sky blue hue and the dots looking like balloons, it can be my tribute to the movie Up.
